Description: This was perhaps the hardest stone to find for it was not visible. I was walking along the track where my GPS was adamant that the stone was in that cluster of reeds to my left, but no stone was visible. Paul Rendell wasn’t convinced at first but walked over and together we began pushing the reeds away to find a low granite slab that was loose – this was the elusive boundstone! Unlike other boundaries marked by boundstones, such as the PCWW or WD stones, these are often short, half-buried and neglected. (MP)

That said, Steve Grigg (2022) writes from his visit: “I note the grass was very long when you and Paul visited. I hope you don’t mind me saying but I think you recorded the “chocking” stone for the BS not the BS itself. There was a semi-buried (approx. 1m long) stone next to the stone you recorded which I believe is the true boundary marker.”
