This hill, at some 520m above sea level, is very wet and tussocky, especially below the wall on the eastern side. In fact, I’d go so far to say that the terrain below the wall, between the summit and the bridleway, is the worst terrain on the entire moor. The Lade Hill Brook rises within truly awful ground littered with holes. Avoid!
If you approach Lade Hill from the East Dart, follow the west side of the wall up to the summit (and small tor); from Sittaford Tor there is also a path. (MP)
