Notes: (Mark Fenlon) “I believe this post is connected to the Royal Corps of Signals and perhaps with the 629 Capping Stones?”
Whilst doing some Letterboxing research MF discovered the possibility that there might be 3 further RSIGS markers to be discovered.. (and added to Dartefacts).
1. The older of the two clues reads: 58039 88622. Revised clue: ‘RSIGS’ marker post in small group of rocks 319* and 7p.
2. The other clue has the location probably in (58 88) RSIGS marker. Subject 192°. Stack 172°. BS 181°.
3. A third clue reads: 58??? 89???. Walk on 337° from Red-a-ven Head to concrete post inscribed RSIGS. Outcrop 244°. Box in hollow 3p away.
It may be worth keeping an eye out for these markers when in the High Willhays and Row Tor areas. With this current Dartefacts example there could be at least 4 x RSIGS Posts?
