Visited by Max Piper and Rob Naylor on 24th December 2022. Is this a natural rocky feature or a cairn? It lies just east of Hangingstone Hill’s military range hut and flagpole overlooking Watern Tor and Down. The granite here is very easily eroded; it crumbles easily and is in thin pancake-like sheets.
