The North-West Passage Peat Pass is one of the longest peat passes on Dartmoor. Indeed, it is also one of the most used, as it provides a relatively dry route from East Dart Country to Tavy Country, and is well-used by walkers trying to reach Fur Tor from the east. The pass has two sections; the much longer section to the west and a shorter, though narrow, pass to the east. Both of these parts are marked by peat pass markers, to quote Eric Hemery (1983).
